About Us
Ambulatory Surgery Center of Central Florida
The Surgery Center of Central Florida is a state-of-the-art, AAAHC-accredited ambulatory surgery center dedicated to providing high-quality outpatient surgical care. Our facility offers a safe, convenient, and comfortable alternative to hospital-based procedures, allowing patients to recover in the comfort of their own homes.
Our team of experienced physicians, certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs), nurses, and clinical staff is committed to delivering compassionate care, clear communication, and clinical excellence at every stage of your visit.
We are fully licensed by the State of Florida and the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) and meet rigorous, nationally recognized standards for quality and safety through our voluntary AAAHC accreditation. This ensures you can trust that our facility upholds the highest level of care in every aspect of surgery.
Our Mission
To provide exceptional outpatient surgical care in a patient-centered environment where individuals feel informed, supported, and confident in their treatment.
We focus on individualized care, clear communication, and coordinated treatment plans—from pre-procedure preparation through recovery and follow-up—so that every patient feels safe, comfortable, and well-informed.
Patient Experience
We understand that preparing for surgery can be stressful. Our staff works to make your experience smooth and reassuring:
-
Pre-Procedure Instructions: Carefully follow the guidance provided by your physician to ensure the safest and most effective outcome.
-
Transportation: For your safety, patients are not permitted to drive after anesthesia. Please arrange for a responsible adult to transport you to and from the Surgery Center, and consider arranging support at home if needed.
-
Day of Surgery: Bring your insurance card(s), physician forms, and any required documents. Leave valuables, jewelry, and make-up at home. Patients who do not speak English are encouraged to arrange for an interpreter.
-
Anesthesia & Recovery: Your anesthesia is administered by a CRNA experienced in outpatient procedures. Your nurse monitors your recovery closely, ensuring your blood pressure and pulse are stable. Most procedures require only 1–2 hours at the Surgery Center.
-
Postoperative Care: Before discharge, a nurse will review written instructions, including medications, diet, and activity restrictions. A follow-up call will be made to check your progress and answer questions.
